Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

This year I will be running the Great North Run in memory of my late Granda Bill, he fought for over a year after his first stroke took him down in July 2013' he fought until November 2014 , he had more strokes and each one chipped away at him piece by piece, Granda was never put into a care home, his care was always between hospital and him and my Nanas home, this was very important to my family as he always wanted to be at home amongst his loved ones, if it wasn't for the charity his last wishes of being at home would not have been possible.

I'm  Running the GNR is a opportunity to give something back.

My Cousin Mark Solan is also doing a Zip Wire to raise money for the assosiation.
