Against Breast Cancer are working to prevent secondary breast cancer by funding unique research into the development of new treatments, including ultimately a vaccine; improving upon current blood tests; and assessing diet and lifestyle for factors that increase the risk of secondary breast cancer.

Story

Hello my name is Sophie Moore and I'm going to be swimming the distance around the Isle of Wight, in Weymouth swimming pool, which is 56 miles (3584 lengths) on the 22nd May 2015 for the charity Against Breast Cancer. I will be setting myself a target of one week to complete this challenge.

Im doing this as over the past year I've seen someone close to me bravely battle Breast Cancer, and i don't think anyone should have to go through it.

Over 50,000 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and almost everyone is affected by it in some way or another. So together lets give the charity the money they need to get that number down drastically.

Ive seen what the £4023 I raised when i swam the distance of the english channel can do and I want to help more, so they can find a cure so no one else has to suffer.

Thank you

Sophie
