We are fighting for every child's right to grow up in a safe and loving family.

Story

The 95-mile West Highland Way race will be the longest race I've done. There will be really tough times along the way, but at the checkpoints I will run towards family and friends.

I've had a difficult few years: on 5 June 2012 I was told (and believed) I would never run again when I was diagnosed with mastocytosis. But I was brought up to believe I was capable of anything. My family have always supported me and it is that childhood and their continued support that gave me the strength to get my life back.

Lumos help keep families together and prevent children being institutionalised. You can read more about what they do here: https://www.wearelumos.org/what-we-do/

Please give what you can and give more by sharing this post!

Lumos is fighting for every child’s right to have a family. There are over 5.4 million children trapped in institutions globally. These intuitions severely harm a child's physical and mental development. We are fighting for every child's right to grow up at home, in a safe and loving family.
