Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

On April 21st 2024 I will be running my FIRST marathon for Place 2 Be, a brilliant children’s mental health charity that has a base in the primary school where I work. I have seen the fantastic work that they do to tackle the ever growing mental health crisis and I am excited to raise money for such a worthy cause.

Did you know that one in six children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health issue? That’s five children in every classroom with a condition like depression or anxiety. Place2Be is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most. Please help me support Place2Be’s vital work, and together we can make a real difference to children's mental health and ensure that children don’t have to face mental health problems alone.

Anyone that knows me will know that I didn’t start my running journey until I was training for the London Marathon last year and then unfortunately got injured. This year I’m back and determined to get to the finish line.
