Running the London Marathon has long been an ambition of mine, and what better time to run it than on my 40th birthday weekend!! 

I will be running in support of the Institute of Cancer Research whose vital work aims to improve outcomes for people with cancer through world-leading research and development of new and innovative treatments. 

As do most people, I have several close family members, friends and colleagues who have faced/are still facing their own journeys with cancer. Mostly though, I'll be doing this for my Dad whose ongoing resilience, positivity and determination to keep living life to the full despite his own cancer challenges is both inspiring and humbling.
