Story

So we are off again - this time with new people and in partnership with www.justgiving.com/fundraising/victoria-justine who are coming too!

We still miss Vic EVERYDAY but are still so in love with the Hospice for keeping doing what they do x

This one is for you Vic, and always will be x

A walk designed in memory of the beautiful Victoria Waiting.

A heart shaped route amongst stunning scenery taking time out to remember those we love.

40 miles in 2 days around the stunning Lancashire and Yorkshire countryside, taking in some of the finest pubs, eateries and rooms along the way.

All proceeds and sponsorship to the wonderful Pendleside Hospice, who made the most difficult times of our lives slightly easier.  And for whom we will be forever grateful.

The original reason for fundraising is below.  Sadly, Vic passed away in August of 2016 at just 44, and has left a huge hole in the lives of many.

The following is from when Vic first went into the Hospice :'( x

My fundraising goal is massive. It's massive for a reason. For the last 14 days my sister in law has been in pendleside hospice. And actually we hope she can stay there forever. She is Victoria Waiting and she is 44 and she is completely and utterly adored. She has 2 children, James 15 and Alex 7 and a family who think she's amazing. She has a million friends who also think she's brilliant. She has a glioblastoma multiforme grade 4 brain tumour.  If you google that you may feel our pain. We only found out 7 weeks ago and we have gone from a normal family to a family who live day to day in a haze of devastation. Every morning we have a split second of normal, and then we are gutted.

I am walking with her husband and my daughter next weekend on the pub walk to raise money for the place that has proved our salvation. We are walking for Pendleside hospice and we are walking for her. We are walking to try and raise enough money to sponsor another person to be as lucky as she is to be there. Pendleside hospice has cared for her so beautifully when everything around seems to be crumbling. The hospice relies on donations. And if there was ever a donation to be made, it should be to them. The family waiting x
