Story
October is Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. On average, every 5 days a woman is murdered by an abusive partner or ex in England and Wales. You might not know any of those women, apart from their pictures next to the news headlines.
We all think this violence won't ever touch our lives, and happens to "other people" but that's simply untrue. 1 in 4 women experience domestic abuse in their lifetimes - our mothers, sisters, colleagues, daughters and friends.
I'm channelling my rage and sadness into steps this month, walking 62 miles in October. I'm walking for Hannah 💗

October is National Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, and I will be walking 62 Miles in October for Refuge.
On any given day, Refuge supports thousands of women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse.
Your donation will save women's lives. Just £19 could pay for a call to the Helpline, supporting a woman as she takes her first step to safety and a life free from fear.
Many arrive with little more than the clothes they are wearing. Your donation could provide essentials like toiletries and food to help a woman through her first night.
Every £1 makes a difference. Thank you!
