Story
I am running my first ever marathon to raise some funds for Sue Ryder. I took up running after my parents passed away within 8 months of each other. It was the one thing that calmed my mind and seemed to help with the sadness. I thought it might be a good idea to put my new found ability to put one foot in front of the other to raise some money for Sue Ryder. The nurses were instrumental in me being able to look after my Mum with the end of life love and care she deserved. They were calm when I was not, they reassured me that I was doing the right things when I felt like I was flailing in the deep end. Looking back now the mist of grief has lifted, I am so proud that I was able to do that for her as she was the most incredible person and the best mother I could have asked for.
So, one last charity push from me to say thank you to the team and to raise money so that others like me can benefit from their expert services. I've been training hard and won't let you down I promise.
