Sophie has been using the Maths Factor website for her homeschooling and after each maths session she does, she gets a marble that she can use on a virtual slot machine. Her marble could land on one of three charities and I explained to her what each charity did; one helped wildlife, one helped hedgehogs and one helped dogs.

Sophie really wanted her marbles to land on the charity for dogs and when they didn't, she burst into tears and was so distraught. 😭 So, I showed her the Thornberry Animal Sanctuary website and Facebook page and told her that we could do something to help raise money for the dogs and other animals that need help there. She cheered up and we started thinking of ideas.

So, Sophie will be working extra hard on her Maths over the next 2 weeks and has set a target to get 350 correct answers on Maths Factor. Each session ends with a 12 question quiz so Sophie will need to complete at least 30 maths sessions over the next 2 weeks and get most of the answers right to meet her target!
