We want a supportive film & TV community working together to make our industry better. We offer a helping hand to people working behind the scenes and catalyse change to address the challenges and inequalities facing people at the heart of industry.

Story

Almost 9 in 10 people working in the UK Film and Television industry have experienced mental health problems, and more than half contemplated suicide.

The Covid-19 pandemic led to a devastating impact on the industry. As cinemas shut, film productions paused, and remote work was encouraged, most Freelance workers fell short of government support.

With a supportive community, the Film and TV Charity can support those who face a disadvantage. This includes promoting physical, mental, and social well-being; equality, diversity, and inclusion by reducing discrimination in the industry; and relieving financial hardship.

As a Freelancer making my way further into the industry, I'll be running the Chelmsford Half Marathon to show my support for this team and the incredible work they do to make the industry a better place.
