Story
In memory of our sweet baby boy, George 💙
Our lives changed forever when we lost our first child, George. We loved him from the moment we knew he existed, and we will love him for the rest of our lives.
Our pregnancy was full of hope. We saw his heartbeat, watched him grow, and spent so much time dreaming about the life we would share with him. Like so many others, we held onto the idea that once you reach 12 weeks, you are 'safe'. We've learnt in the hardest way that there isn't really a 'safe' point. Loss can happen at any stage, and it changes everything in an instant.
We lost George far too soon, but he will always be our son. He made us parents. He is part of our story, part of our family, and part of who we are forever.
He is why we are taking part in Tommy’s Walk for Hope. We want to raise awareness, support research, and hopefully protect other babies and families in the future. Pregnancy and baby loss can feel like a taboo subject, but it shouldn’t be. It affects 1 in 4 of us. By sharing our stories, we can help others to feel less alone.
If you're able to, we would be so grateful for any donation, big or small, to support such an important charity, and to help make a difference for families like ours.
If you take anything from our story, let it be this: every baby deserves to be spoken about, remembered and named. Their lives matter, no matter how short. Say their names, and keep the memory of them alive. Every baby matters.
Forever playing in the sky. Mummy and Daddy love you to the moon and back. Night, night Baby George 💙🐞
