We are a Manx registered Charity (established in 1989) and help support those suffering from Parkinson's disease and their carers living on the Isle of Man. We have monthly drop-in days, can provide patients with care phones, specialist chairs & beds etc all in the hope that they can remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. We offer friendship and care.

Story

On June 17th I will be taking part in the Parish Walk with an aim to raise as much money as I can for the Parkinson's Disease Society Isle of Man.

I'm doing this walk in memory of my grandfather, Billy Beattie who sadly passed away just over three years ago. He suffered with Parkinson's in the later years of his life; a heartbreaking illness that to date has no cure.

The Parkinson's Disease Society offers care, support and advice for sufferers and their families.

The Parish Walk is an 85-mile-long walk to be completed  within 24 hours - I'm aiming to make it to Peel (32 miles) but if my legs will take me further, I will walk as far as they will take me!
