Soph runs the Brighton Marathon for GOSH

Brighton Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·
Hello friends, family, acquaintances and none of the above.
I'm not sure how some of you may stumble across this page but I'm so so glad you did. To those close to me, please, sit down, because this could come as a real big shock. I am running the Brighton Marathon on 12th Sept 2021. Yes, a marathon. That's 26.2 miles. And yes, writing this is the girl who HATES running. You know, the one who would rather be an hour late for school than run for the bus.
I'll be putting myself through this challenging and probably traumatising experience all in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world.
Despite the greatest challenges a child can face, the hospital is a place where being sick does not always mean being sad. And it’s a place where you’ll find – today and every day – some of the bravest people you could ever meet.
This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, and this is why I'm taking on this challenge as my chance to make a difference.
So, please donate all you can for this incredible charity. You never know, they might even be needing to give me a new pair of legs by the end of all this.
Thanks in advance
