Story
When Ezra was 14 months old he was diagnosed with meningococcal B septicemia. He was critically ill for days and the doctors didn't know if he is going to survive or not. Three weeks later he lost his both legs below his knees and fingers on his right hand. There is also scarring on his brain but no effects so far.
This year, Ezra is our team captain for the Superheroes for Meningitis Research Foundation fundraising challenge. Families affected by Meningitis and not only, get involved in this challenge by completing a certain distance by a suitable way (running, walking, cycling, using their wheelchair, etc).
Between 17th July and 14th of August we plan to complete 30km by walking and cycling. Ezra is going to use his prosthetics during the challenge. I hope we can keep up with him.
MRF continues to support families and individuals who experience the life changing impact of meningitis, and invest in research to defeat the disease. You can also be part of this story and can support this charity to continue the good work.
Thank you for considering joining us in the challenge !
Thumbs up for team Azur!
