Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Lloyds South Central Area team, led by our inspirational leader, Danny Bays, have joined the Bank's fundraising Peloton Challenge that will take place on Wednesday 15th July. Twenty colleagues from across the Area will don their lycra and pedal like mad for 12 hours between 8am & 8pm to clock up as many kilometres as possible. The team goal will be to try and cycle 1 Million Metres!!! All of the Lloyds branches across the Area will be supporting the teams efforts on the day with various fund raising activities to help raise as much money for Mental Health UK's Bloom project. In 2019, with Lloyds support, Mental Health UK launched Bloom, the largest UK-wide programme for 14 - 18 year olds supporting young people's mental health resilience.

Your donations will help Mental Health UK continue to provide resources and support to young people to understand mental illness, and develop their resilience skills for now and the future, and I think we can all agree that the importance of resilience has never been more clear.

Where’s your money going

£600 could pay for one young person to complete the full comprehensive six-week resilience programme over the course of a school term, exploring ideas in the classroom environment and developing tools and strategies to manage their mental health now and in the future.

£1,000 could contribute towards ensuring that downloadable teaching resources are up-to-date and available for teachers across the UK to access from our digital platform.

£1,500 could pay for a one-day mental health resilience workshop - with a catchment area of up to 10 schools - impacting over 100 students.

£2,000 could contribute towards maintaining and ensuring accessibility of our digital platform, giving young people across the UK access to safe mental health information outside of school hours.

£6,000 could ensure that one school is able to implement all components of Mental Health UKs resilience programme, including: six one-hour classrooms tutorials; teacher training; a one-day all-school workshop; access to resources and materials; selection and training for Young Champions, and safe out-of-hours access to mental health information for young people via our digital platform.

SO PLEASE DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE DIFFERENCE THAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL MAKE TOWARDS THIS VITAL PROGRAM.
