Story

South Galway AC are coming together during this time of crisis to take on the challenge of aiming to run a combined 1000kms in 5 days (from Wed 13th May to Sun 17th May 2020) to raise vial awareness and funds for Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health.

Each day for these 5 days, our members will be running on their own to clock up the kilometres to help smash our shared goal of running 1,000 in a week.

We will each run within our 5km radius and collate our total kilometres daily while taking part in activities that help us to promote youth mental health in our families and community.

Jigsaw are a mental health charity who deliver vital mental health services and supports across our communities. Every day they work with young people, their parents, grandparents, teachers, schools and clubs. Now, in the face of this unprecedented crisis, they are needed more than ever to ensure young people have the tools to thrive and to move on from these strange, uncertain and stressful events without lasting impact.
