On Sunday 26th April 2020 I am running the London Marathon in order to try and raise £1,500 to pay for the transport costs for 9 ARCO students to travel from Soweto, via Port Elizabeth, to Stellenbosch to attend the prestigious Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival between July 3rd - 12th. It just so happens that the distance is 1,500km for the whole journey from Soweto via Port Elizabeth to Stellenbosch. The reason for our diversion to Port Elizabeth will explained in my blog section leading up to the race, so please do consider donating just a pound for a km to help me to my target! If you don't think that is justifiable enough I will be aiming to run 1,500 miles in my 17 week training phase, so donating one pound per mile will help me achieve my target. Of course, this will be quite a challenge in itself and I will not bury myself into the ground just to run the distance, so I have another initiative in mind. I am targetting in and around 2 hours 30 minutes for my finish time, obviously I would like to dip under that mark! So, for every minute I am either above or below this target I will personally donate £20 to the fundraising, it could become quite expensive if I hit the wall!

This will be my 4th marathon, and for anyone who knows me, it will be without therunningviola! The reason being is that I am a committed athlete and want to see how quickly I can run senza 10ft viola scroll.
