The Help the Aged Leeds Abbey Dash 2007 · 25 November 2007 ·
Thank you for visiting Spawforths' Abbey Dash fundraising page! Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
The greatest athletic team in the history of the built environment industry* (*unofficial) has now been signed up to run in this year’s Abbey Dash, the annual 10k run from Leeds City Centre to the Kirkstall Abbey and back. The race is a Help the Aged event which is now in its 23rd year and raises much needed cash for the support of elderly people in the area. This year, proceeds from the Dash will fund a Help the Aged ‘HandyVan’ in the Leeds andarea. The ‘HandyVan’ service provides fitting of safety and security devices to ensure older people feel safer in their own homes.
Therefore please all get behind our team! Those that want to watch us all stagger over the finish line I am sure you’ll be able to find a spot at the finish (that’s if we’re not all travelling too fast to see us).
The Team is
Gavin ‘There’s Only One King’ Winter
Andrew Watkins
Jessie Watson
Emma Cruickshank
Claire Easton
Jenny Ray
Mike Ashworth
