Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Spearing Waite have decided to enter a team this year for the Gauntlet, taking place at Welford Road Stadium on 4th June to raise money for the Lord Taverners and other local charities. The Gauntlet involves a number of games in the style of ‘it’s a knockout’, a concept that had to be explained to a few younger team members!

With a team of 12 volunteers (well, three volunteers, a few hostages and 2 people seeking a pay-rise) preparing themselves for the challenge / public humiliation by watching old re-runs of the show, all sponsorship is gratefully appreciated.

Spearing Waite’s volunteers, perhaps aptly dubbed the ‘Spearing Waite-Watchers’, are currently entering a period of rigorous training, and may be seen running the streets of Leicester in comically oversized costumes. Stand by for further updates of training, sponsorship and hilarious injuries.
