Raymond and his merry team are clmbing Ben Nevis on 6th August to raise funds for Beatson Cancer Charity, that supported the ’famous’ Karen Gibson for over 9 years. Karen was diagnosed with not just 1, but 2 primary cancers in May 2012. For the next 9 years she was supported by the Beatson both emotionally and psychologically, as well as attending the centre for her many gruelling courses of treatment, that were necessary to continue to fight the recurring and persistent cancer. This was something that Karen faced with such postivity and determination. Karen was many things to many people - wife, mother, gran, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to name a few. She was one of life’s great people and our lives are more enriched by Karen being a part of it. It would mean so much to Karen’s family and friends if you could help us raise a nice sum of money for the Beatson in Karen‘s memory.
