Vision Action aim to make eye care accessible and affordable overseas. We help the world to see through innovative programmes that reach out to some of the most remote communities throughout Africa. We began in 1989 and will continue until everyone across Africa has access to basic eye care.

Story

670 million people - 10% of the world's population - are disadvantaged by poor vision and a lack of glasses. Vision Aid Overseas is an international charity dedicated to transforming access to eyecare services in developing countries.

Specsavers and Vision Aid Overseas are working together to provide eye care for Zambia. Miles for sight is a project to convey that the average African has to walk more than 100km for a sight test. Our UK stores will be taking part in a number of initiatives to cycle, walk or step the distance to raise funds for Vision Aid Overseas.
