Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Congratulations to the Speldhurst Sharks for a bold and valiant effort, coming 15th out of over 60 teams.

We were only a couple of seconds from reaching the Grand Final of the top 10 teams (which incidentally was won by only the eighth fastest team in qualifying). Well done guys, our best effort yet!

Not only that but in the last few days, thanks to further offline collections, we passed our target sponsorship figure of £3000 which is tremendous news for all concerned. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us this year. All contributions will be spilt 50/50 between Speldhurst School PTA and Barnardo's Meadow Memorial School in Southborough and, although we are still awaiting final figures, we expect to be raising a cheque in excess of £1500 for Barnado's.

The Barnardo's Meadow Memorial school is a matter of minutes away from our own school in Speldhurst and it is fantastic that we can support a charity that does so much on a national level and also has a link close to us. Barnardo's always have the young at the centre of all they do as they aim to turn around troubled children's lives. Barnardo's Meadows Memorial School in Southborough is a residential special school catering for pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. They cater for 38 boarders and 14 day pupils.
