Story

Hello Everyone

Thankyou for visiting my fundraising page I'm RAN New York City Marathon for the Meningitis Research Foundation. In 2007 a young boy of 11, Harry Mills of Marlow, was lost to this awful illness. Also last year my God-daughter also contracted it, luckily she was hospitalised & very fortunately recovered. So please donate to this worthy cause.

Well I did it - I REALLY did it!!

All my training (4 x per week) WORKED!! Since the summer of 2006 I've done: 7 half-marathons, heaps of training runs of 6, 8, 12, 18 miles and even a 20 mile once!

The race was fantastic, awesome, the most challenging thing I have EVER done - but SO rewarding!! I am still on cloud nine!!

PLEASE sponsor me as this NYC marathon was the hardest thing I HAVE EVER DONE!

Lots of love & THANKYOU everso much for logging onto my page.

PS - I ached SO much afterwards in NYC I could barely manage to SHOP....doh!!!!

PPS - Thats me in the black running leggings & white top...yes waving at my hubbie at the finish!

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
