Hiya everyone.

My son Theodore was born 4 weeks early due to complications during my pregnancy. It was hell. Being on the scbu walnut ward opened mine and my partners eyes to so much.  We was lucky in some sense. We can't fault the care from the staff and how they helped our baby boy be able to come home where he belongs. Between all the tears happiness and upset that he couldn't come home with us. This charity helps create fighters. Helps babies get home with their families. We know from our experience of being there the equipment doesn't come cheap. I want to give back as much as I can because they helped us and I want to be able to help others. 

It's heart wrenching when your new born ..your brand new bundle of joy is in special care. It's so difficult because you don't expect it,it's not the norm. Most people have their babies and get to hold cuddle feed them, have them by their side and take them home shortly after but that's not the case. My little one was whizzed away I didn't even get to see him, I had no idea if he was okay? Was he alive? Would he make it? I then had to wait 4 hours before even being able to see him, When I got to see him it was so scary. Seeing him all hooked up. You just don't know what to expect. But the staff are caring and patient. Endless times I'd cry in the ward where I'd see and hear so many babies with their mummies, crying or beinf fed. It broke my heart. But my little fighter made it. 

The babies that have to be in special care are fighters, They are hero's. They are stronger than we give them credit for. In fact I think they are stronger than us adults! They fight a Hard battle & with little buds charity they win. Courageous little tiny humans. But this wouldn't be possible without the wonderful staff or the little buds charity so please let's together hit this target and help more beautiful tiny humans get better and grow. Doesn't matter if it's a small donation or large..every little truly does help.
