Story

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We hope you are all well, after a lengthy  hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are back once again to announce that we will be taking on the West Highland Way to raise money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital - Schiehallion Ward. As you already know, the walk consists of 96 miles which we plan to complete over the course of 5 days.

After a successful walk in August of last year raising money for Ardgowan Hospice we are incredibly enthusiastic to go again, this time tackling a much larger challenge. Myself and a group of friends will be setting off on August 10th to attempt this mammoth challenge.

The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity aim to ensure that all babies, children and young people in care across glasgow and the west experience the best support and care possible.

Our chosen cause - Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity - has been chosen by our friend Molly Cuddihy and this walk will also be held in her name.

As some of you may know, in 2018 Molly was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer - Metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma - and has recently finished treatment in the Royal Hospital for Children under the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Molly acquired straight A’s in her SQA Highers and won herself a place at Oxford University’s summer school.

On top of this, Molly was nominated for Young Scotswoman of the year, an award run by Newsquest.

If you wish to support us in raising money for a wonderful cause then please consider having a look at our justgiving page.

Also, with great joy, we are excited to announce that a Social distanced Fundraiser will be held on the 5th of August at Nicolsons Bar and Kitchen, Greenock. Please see the poster below for more information.

Any donation, large or small, will make a huge difference. We are all so thankful.
