RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Many  know my story but many won't. On 27th September 2006 I lost my brother aged 21 drowned at Watergate Bay Cornwall after having an epileptic fit surfing. The RNLI team did their best to resuscitate him and got him to Truro hospital where he was kept alive in a coma for a few days allowing me and my family to spend the final few days with him. 15 years on and I plan to kill myself running the marathon to raise money for the RNLI who, with most people staycationing this year, will be in demand more than ever.

Thanks

Stotty
