We are raising funds to create an outdoor learning space at Silkstone Primary School. This is such an exciting project which will allow our children to learn about the natural environment whilst being part of it. It opens up so many opportunities to explore nature and take part in exciting workshops such as bush-craft and outdoor art activities. In addition to the additional learning opportunities we are all aware of the mental health benefits of being outside in our natural environment. Finally, having such a structure creates a shaded area in the school field that children can use at break and lunchtime.
