The University of Derby Sport, Outdoor and Exercise Science (SOES) are planning to cycle form John O’ Groats to Land’s End between the 29th June and 7th July 2019. The trip will involve cycling approximately 100 miles a day for 9 days.

We will be aiming to raise money for two key charities that are close to the team’s hearts, Cancer Research UK (www.cancerresearchuk.org)
and Children First Derby (www.childrenfirstderby.co.uk).

The cycling team will include Andy Hooton, Andy Butterworth, Tom Outram, Jen Wilson, James Keenan, James Bostock, Peter Gilliver and Louis Miller. Kyle Farley, Stuart Mourton and Jon Woodward will support the cyclists.

The team will also collect data on specific biomarkers of health and performance during the event to look at how ultra-endurance events affects physiological and psychological parameters.
