We are a Teesside charity committed to supporting local people and local causes throughout the Teesside area. We aim to improve the quality of life to all of those in need in our community throughout Teesside, whether due to age, disability, ill health or financial hardship.

Story

Please note : The children who have various disabilities are the ones who are taking part along with their parents/ carers to complete the four mile walk.

Famillies will be staying in their own family groups and adhering to the two metre social distancing rules. Staff & volunteers will come along to support us as we do what we can do for charity.

**********************************************We are raising funds in order to support the two charities mentioned below as they are close to our hearts. Both charities are located in the Teesside area and are very beneficial to many people in various ways. Without these two charities there would be a huge void for the services they provide. We would like to see these charities remain up and running and would like you, your friends and family to assist us with our quest to enable them to continue with the excellent work they do.

The children who will be taking part are from Middlesbrough Sportability club, some children cannot walk far so a four mile walk around Tees Barrage will be a challenge for them as it has many inclines to contend with. We are making it more fun for the children by having them dress up as they wish and having various fun things to do on the way around the barrage. Our walk will commence at 10am if people wish to come and support us.

Welcome to The Teesside Family Foundation.

We are a charitable organisation committed to supporting local people and local causes throughout the Teesside area.We aim to improve the quality of life to all of those in need in our community throughout Teesside, whether due to age, disability, ill health or financial hardship. We organise numerous charity events throughout the year to raise funds towards this goal and offer short breaks for those we support.

Welcome to Middlesbrough Sportability Club.

Middlesbrough Sportability Club was formed in 2003, to provide sport and leisurely activities for children with disabilities aged between 8 and 19 years of age. It is open to all young people with a learning disability, as well as physical or sensory impairments.

The clubs aims to promote and follow the Every Child Matters Framework....(ECM)
Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy, Achieve and Make a positive contribution and be able to achieve Economic Well-Being!!

* We the parents & carers of the children who attend here, would love for a company to become a sponsor of this club to ensure it has the funds to keep providing the much needed activities, community outings, trips with parents/carers & the much needed respite we receive whilst the activities are being held.

The staff push the children in a positive way to ensure they reach their maximum potential and to show them that even though they may not be able to do many things other children can do they can most do more than they ever thought possible, which makes this club totally amazing.

PLEASE DONATE AND HELP US KEEP THESE TWO CHARITIES RUNNING.

Thank you

kind regards
