Sponsored Sleepout · 8 April 2022

The Hope Street project adds an additional 15 rooms to Caritas Anchor House in response to the homelessness crisis. Residents will get individual en-suite rooms and share refurbished communal facilities of kitchen, launderette, lounge, and IT suite.

Story

We will be sleeping outside with no shelter for 10 hours, with nothing but a sleeping bag to keep us warm to raise money for the homeless.

One of Caritas Anchor House current residents said: The main things that I feel stand out to me since moving into Caritas Anchor House are having a safe place to sleep, getting an education, getting a job, and getting my confidence and independence back. Recently, I've been told that I will be able to move into my own social housing flat in the area. I couldn't be happier. Its one of the last steps of my journey to get my life back on track.
