SRU Running for Rob Burrows · 30 November 2020 ·
The Supportive Recovery Unit is a male inpatient Rehabilitation Ward in Treorchy, South Wales. We specialise in looking after adult males with enduring mental illness. Following a recent documentary about Former Leeds Rhinos Star, Rob Burrows who is living with Motor Neurone Disease, a group of staff had an idea to raise money for the MND Association. MND has also affected family members of staff working at SRU. MND is a debilitating disease which affects the brain and nervous system, causing them to stop working over time. Currently there is no Cure for MND. Staff at SRU will attempt to walk/Run the distance it takes to walk to the Leeds Rhino Stadium, Emerald Headington and back, throughout the month of November. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
