24 Hour Tredmil Run · 16 October 2021

St Luke’s is an independent charity caring for terminally ill adults and their loved ones across Sheffield. Each year, we care for around 1,900 patients most of whom are cared for in their own home by our Specialist Palliative Care Community team.

Story

I am intending to do a 24 hour run, on my curved tredmil, in my gym.

The rules will be pretty simple, run as much as possible, walking is OK, stopping is not.

The only reason I can get off the tredmil is to use the toilet, or if my slightly over weight body gives up and dies.

I will be starting at 10am Saturday morning and finishing at 10am Sunday morning.

The gym will be open and free to use for anyone during the run and a donation box will be in the unit for St lukes.

The gym is at unit 6 Derwent street, just off cricket inn lane.

Simple as that really. I ran a bit during lockdown but since then I've been back powerlifting, my cardio is down and my weight is up so this will make it extra hard.

Please give generously because st lukes is an incredible service that relies heavily on donations.
