Story
St Christopher's Lea is a hub of community life in the area, but all of this is now under threat since thieves have stolen a substantial amount of our copper roof material. Ongoing water ingress has put the future of the church and community centre under threat. With your generous help we can keep St Christopher's open.
In 2019 we raised £5776 when this appeal was first opened, but sadly we had more of our roof stolen in May 2020. Another £3000 now will get us to the point where all of the roof can finally be recovered - please consider helping.
St Christopher's has served the area since 1947. Before the pandemic it was getting used seven days a week for church services, scout and guide groups, a popular tea club, a dance/exercise group, Slimming World, social events, and is hired out for children's parties. Please help us protect this valuable community asset. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
