Lighthouse is a Christ centred, hope filled community and Leeds based charity where vulnerable adults battling storms of addiction, poverty and crisis in mental health can journey together towards greater healing, wholeness and life in all its fullness.

Story

We are a walking group connected to St George’s church in Leeds and we go out every month to enjoy sharing life whilst hiking through the Yorkshire dales. On 15th July a group of us will be walking the 3 peaks of Yorkshire- Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen y Ghent. 24 miles and 1600m of ascent/descent in aid of 2 charities close to our hearts.

Leeds Faith in Schools works with teenagers in schools throughout Leeds delivering assemblies, RE teaching, mentoring and running after-school activities. Its desire and aim is to support all teenagers to grow confidence, develop socially emotionally and spiritually and get to live life in all its fullness.

Lighthouse West Yorkshire is a Christian community for those who have been battered and bruised by the storms of life. Many have multiple and complex needs including homelessness, addiction, criminal backgrounds poverty and crisis in mental health. Lighthouse offers a place of community, Christian discipleship and pastoral support.

Through our 3 peaks challenge we hope to raise much needed funds for these 2 charities. If you are able to support us then your donation would be greatly appreciated by us and the charities we are supporting.
