Story
This July myself and Rachel will be taking part in a 13 mile walk along Hadrians wall to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s society. Working in the hospital gives you a real in sight into what this disease can strip away from families. We’re raising funds for research and help to give those families and their loved ones who are effected the best care and treatment.
Some of you may know my grandad had dementia and this took him away from us very rapidly. I would like, one day, for there to be a cure for this disease and hopefully our contributions will help towards this.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
