Story
In February, my family and I are taking on the challenge of running 50 miles for pancreatic cancer — a cause that has become deeply personal to all of us.
On the 5th of June 2025, our lives changed when I was diagnosed with locally advanced pancreatic cancer at the age of 33.
One month after my diagnosis, I started 6 months of chemotherapy, followed by 5 sessions of radiotherapy (SABR). Now, we face the nerve racking wait until my next scan.
This whole journey has been tough on, not only myself, but those who love me the most. It’s taught us the importance of a wonderful support network, how good it feels to be in full health and to be grateful for everything we have.
That’s why this challenge is a team effort. Each mile we run/walk represents the strength, love, and determination of everyone who has been impacted by this disease. We’re taking part for those living with pancreatic cancer, for the families who support them, and for those we’ve unfortunately lost 💜
Pancreatic Cancer is difficult to detect and often caught late meaning survival rates are low. Far too low for a common cancer! Families facing this diagnosis need more than hope, they need life saving research in this field and new, promising treatments.
By supporting this challenge, you’re helping to fund vital research, improve treatments, and give hope to others facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Whether you donate, share our page, or cheer us on, please know how much it means to all of us. Thank you for being part of our journey 💜
