Story
Walking for Wag enables isolated older people who can no longer have a dog of their own to have visits from their new Wag friends with two and with four legs. Our dear friend Mrs Elsie Main lives in Newcastle. Elsie is a widow and lives alone and whilst she loves seeing her family she has more time on her hands than shed like. Elsie's had dogs all her life but its not longer possible and she misses them terribly. Enter a Golden Retriever called Pringle! Emma and Pringle visit Elsie every week and after planting a big kiss on top of Pringle's head, Elsie told us that when she strokes Pringle she feels her stress lift. That's what its all about. Elsie's loving having a dog in her life again and Pringle was born for the job. We visit thousands of people across the North East in care and medical establishments and 140 people on a 1:1 basis in their own homes, making the world of difference to how they feel about their lives.
