With the recent changes in the world relating to COVID-19, life has felt lonely. We can’t attend lectures face-to-face; we can’t see friends as often and as safely as we once used to, and we’re urged to stay inside to keep ourselves and others safe. But we still want to spend time with our friends, right? Right. So why not do this in space? WITH FRIENDS?! We’ve decided to gather our best bunch of lecturers at Staffordshire University to play Among Us, a game that was initially released in 2018 that has since risen to be the one of the most popular games about currently. And may I say, what better way to relieve the stress of University and online learning than watching your favourite lecturers lie and kill each other in Among Us?! I honestly can’t think of a better way to spend my Saturday night in Lockdown 2.0. Saturday, I say? We will be live streaming ten valiant lecturers strive to be the most deceiving they can be to their colleagues.

You may be wondering “Are my lecturers seriously going to play a game of Among Us?” and the answer is yes and the reason as to why they are all gathering is for a very special cause, raising money for the charity Special Effect. The goal of the charity is to grant those with disabilities the ability to play games – something we take for granted everyday – using technology built to assist those with a disability. Their work is invaluable to the lives of these people, games are fun and everyone should get the chance to play them. So if you can come along to the stream as the lecturers whack each other - donations are much appreciated! Let's try and smash this goal!
