The 112 Charity Bike Ride 2011 · 7 May 2011

We are a national charity bringing communities together to end domestic abuse. Our aim is to support organisations to work in partnership to identify and respond effectively to domestic abuse to ensure survivors receive the best possible support to live free from abuse.

Story

Thank you to everyone who has been involved and donated to Standing Together for The 112 Charity Bike Ride 2011 which took place on Saturday 7th May. It was the third year that supporters of Standing Together Against Domestic Violence have taken to their bikes to reduce the 112 - the amount of deaths caused by domestic violence in this country each year.

The day was a great success and the biggest yet with so much support and 102 participants. Standing Together relies on fundraising to continue the work we do, the 112 is our main yearly event and is a great day to get involved in, be part of something special, volunteer, cycle, donate... Come and get involved next year - Saturday 12th May 2012.

There are two options both starting at Windsor - to ride 112 kilometres (roughly 70 miles - by yourself or in a relay team) or 11.2 miles through Windsor Great Park.  If you are interested in taking part next year please contact Laura via admin@standingtogether.org.uk - we have 112 places.

A big thank you to the following for supplying food and drink on the day - Wholefoods Market, Eat Natural, M&S,Tesco's and Gusto energy drink. Thank you to Cyclopedia for your support.

Thanks for taking the time to visit Standing Together's 112 fundraising page. Offline donations are made up of all the sponsorship received and the cyclists individual pages here on Just Giving as well as the projected Gift Aid to reclaim on donations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
