Story

Many thanks for visiting this webpage - and hearing St Andup call!

Catholic schools and colleges are great supporters of Trocaire.  This page is designed to let their school governors (and other wellwishers) show special support too - by standing up and taking action against poverty.

It's part of the great Just1 StandUp Against Poverty in which the pupils and staff of hundreds of schools will be joining on Friday 16th October 2009 - followed by massgoers on the Saturday and Sunday. You can see full information at www.just1.org.uk/standups2009.

It's all free for the schools.  But I thought that if governing bodies want to show their appreciation of what's being done, as a group or individually you might like to have a small collection for Trocaire - perhaps passing the hat round at your next full governors' meeting or some other collecting arrangement. St Andup suggests that just 1 Euro a person would be fine, though there's no objection to more.

Donating means the school will get a bit of public recognition through this webpage - and the money goes direct to Trocaire.

When you fill out the page, just make sure that the full school name and location is included.

With best wishes, and many thanks.

PS And St Andup says thanks too. You'll find St Peter will stand up to greet you with a special smile when you arrive at the Pearly Gates...
