Update 26/09/13

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SPONSORED TUESDAY’S MEP BRIEFING. Joanna and the rest of the Compassion team made a real impact in Brussels – gaining the attention of both MEPs and the international media. Your voices were heard loud and clear, and we will keep up the pressure on your behalf until all EU Member States take action for Europe’s pigs.

Update 19/09/2013

PLEASE NOTE THE DEADLINE HAS NOW PASSED FOR YOUR COMMENTS TO BE ADDED TO THE MEP PACKS. Thank you so much to everybody who has sponsored this event, and spoken out for Europe's pigs!

_________________________________________________

On 24th September, Compassion patron Joanna Lumley will be spearheading Compassion’s lobbying team at a briefing for MEPs in Brussels. She will be helping to persuade MEPs to use their influence to improve the lives of Europe’s pigs – but we need your help too. Sponsor this event by making a donation before 5pm on Wednesday 18th September 2013, and have your name included in the MEP Briefing Pack. You can also add a comment to be printed in the pack. Please note that inappropriate or offensive comments cannot be included.

What will your sponsorship mean?

Your sponsorship will help Compassion’s Project Pig campaign to secure compliance with the EU Pigs Directive – and deliver a better life for Europe’s pigs. We need the help of our supporters with the costs of the event, and to fuel our political and public campaigning. You will help us ensure that Member States comply with the law, and that the European Commission takes every possible action against countries where pigs are still suffering in illegal conditions.
