Five local Zumba instructors will be taking to the stage in an exciting fun-filled dance party in aid of Cancer Research UK. Taking place in the sports hall at Amery Hill School, Alton on March 12th between 2pm and 5pm, the participants will ‘Party in Pink’ and raise money for the charity.
Licensed Zumba Instructors Kate Sadler and Mandy Wilson, who run classes in the Alton area, have organised the event. They have been teaching this Latin American-inspired fitness dance for several years. Kate and Mandy will be joined on stage by fellow instructors, Tracye Jarrod, Dayana Sanchez and Alison Edwards who teach in Bordon, Basingstoke and Farnham areas respectively. Kate says, “We have already been overwhelmed by the interest and support for the Zumbathon. What better reason is there for getting a sweat on than such a worthwhile cause. Whether you dance for half an hour or three hours, the room will be buzzing so let’s make every move count!”
Zumba wear will be available to purchase at the event plus various local health and fitness stands. There will be a raffle and refreshments available throughout..
The Zumbathon is open to members of the public, including newcomers to Zumba. For further details about the Stand up to Cancer Zumbathon, and to purchase tickets, please contact Kate on 07738668173 or katesadler@live.com and Mandy on 07551617498 or
