Eight years ago I would have cringed at the slight thought of running a lap around the school field. School cross coutry events were avoided like plagues with excuses like 'having to attend extra classes' and so forth. I think I've come a long way since and I do enjoy a challenge. This will be my first time attemping to run such a distance.
