CHIVA Africa is working at the frontline to ensure that no child is born with HIV and no child dies from a treatable condition. In communities where we serve, many pregnant women are living with HIV — but with early diagnosis and treatment, transmission to their babies can be prevented. We support healthcare workers to identify mothers early, start treatment, and protect every child before birth. For babies born with HIV, time is critical. We help clinics find these infants quickly, start lifesaving treatment, and ensure they receive the care they need to survive and thrive. We also support children living with HIV and their caregivers, providing both clinical guidance and emotional support so that every child can grow up healthy and strong. Using real-time health data, we identify children at risk and ensure no one is left behind. Beyond treatment, we empower young people through prevention programmes that give them knowledge, confidence, and hope. Every mother supported is a child protected. Every child reached is a life saved.

CHIVA Africa is helping to save the lives of over 100 000 children living with HIV in South Africa. They need your help to continue to provide training and support for those caring for the country’s most vulnerable population - the children

CHIVA Africa enlisted an impressive line-up of celebrity artists and artistic celebrities to design and decorate rocking horses.  The horses were auctioned at SOTHEBY’S on 14 November 2013.

“Stars Rocking” raises funds for CHIVA Africa’s Paediatric and Adolescent AIDS Programme in South Africa. 100% of funds raised will be used to further the programmes run by CHIVA Africa.
