On Friday 14th May 2010 at 11pm Liz and I are taking part in the Star Trekk IV to raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice. This is as the name suggests a 11km walk at night through Southport.

As most of you will know in December 2009 at the age age of 58 my mum, Lynda Blair, passed away in Queenscourt Hospice peacefully following a long battle with cancer and it is for this reason that Liz and myself are now doing what we can to raise funds for this amazing place. During the short time Lynda stayed at Queenscourt the care and support given to her and her family & friends was immeasurable and we want to now raise funds to allow this service to continue.

Queenscourt Hospice is an independant hospice which serves the communities of Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. We rely heavily on donations and fundraising to generate the income needed to meet running costs and ensure we are able to continue to offer the highest quality and services to those who need our care.
