Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.
The aim is to raise money to support NHS staff who are helping to care for people who are suffering from COVID-19.
Who is missing football and loves the NHS?
Surely everyone is a yes to at least one of those questions?
Dave and I have been working on a little side project to bring (some sort of) football back into people's lives.
I'd seen a tournament Leyton Orient FC ran recently for players, fans and E-sports players. It was a great concept but a lot feedback was calling for an all pro tournament. So we thought, despite having next to no contacts, why not try and arrange one of our own, just for pro footballers, to raise money for the NHS.
We weren't sure how far we'd get but the last few days things have taken off with the Twitter page (@ LockdownFIFA) floating around 12,000 followers mark.
We've got 64 pros from 64 teams signed up so far. A few names you may know...
