We are seeking new and innovative ways to further God's mission.

Story

In 2025 St Bart's Church will have reached a milestone in its history having stood in Church Road for 175 years serving the local community. To mark the occasion we are planning a very special year of community events.

The building is in need of urgent repair and renovation and since 2021 we have raised over £90,000. Our goal is to reach £150,000 by 2026. To reach this we invite you to be part of history and support our campaign in 'Building the Legacy'.

Our next part of our journey is to 'sponsor a slate', this may be to remember a loved one, celebrate a baptism, confirmation or wedding or a special life event. We estimate we have over 2000 slates on the roof so every one counts.

Please mark your donation 'Slate Appeal' so we can thank you.

Together with gift aid we hope to secure matched grants to enable us to do the important repair and renovation work of our Grade 2 listed building.

The cornerstone of this appeal is to honour the past, serve the present and provide for the future, to have a safe and welcoming building that meets the needs of our mission plans.

We know that this is a big ask at this time but by working together can we realise our ambition.

Thank you.
