The choice of supporting the Services at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in memory of Stella felt very appropriate given her personal connections, both academic (MPhil research into cerebral haemorrhage at University College London) and later the long-term support received from the National Hospital after she suffered complications arising from a brain haemorrhage.
