Ste's Virtual Lands End - John O'Groats Bike Ride

Virtual Lands End - John O'Groats Bike Ride · 1 May 2020
Hi everyone, I have been watching my friends doing indoor bike rides for different charities, and that has inspired me to give it a go.
I was looking for what to do and came up with the following crazy idea.
I haven't really exercised for years but thought you never really forget how to ride a bike, so recently purchased an exercise one to have a final push at looking my best for my upcoming wedding.
I should have been getting married on 19th June this year but, due to covid-19, have had to postpone, and this date gave me my time line.
I'm going to start on May 1st and "cycle" 20 miles (32km) a day for 50 days, finishing on what would have been my wedding day, covering 1000 miles in total, approximately the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats (LEJOG for short).
Now theres no guarantee that I'll do all 20 miles in one go each day, I might have to split it in to a couple of sittings, but I'll make sure that I hit the target.
I hope people get behind me in raising money for a fantastic charity, that has a special place in my heart, and any donation no matter how big or small will be gratefully received.
I will do daily updates of me in action, plus a running total of the distance I've covered, the amount raised and maybe even lose a bit of weight on the way.
I'll be using #pedalfatboypedal on my social media if you want to see my progress, chat to me or even hurl abuse then feel free.
Thanks everyone for your support.
