Step up for Treloar's! · 21 April 2020

Treloar’s is a charity that provides an outstanding specialist school and college for physically disabled children and young people, helping them to be as independent as possible.

Story

During these difficult times, it’s important for physical and mental
health to keep moving, so why not use your daily exercise to help raise much needed funds for our young people by signing up for our Step up for Treloar’s challenge!

To take part, all you need to do is:

  • Complete 1,907 steps during your daily exercise or at
home (use a smartphone or fitness device to count your steps!). This number is to celebrate the year that Treloar's was founded.
  • Once you have completed the Challenge, donate £5 here
    on JustGiving.
  • Share a post on social media with #StepUpForTreloars
and tag 2 friends to take on the challenge as well! Don't forget to share the link to this page for donations: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/step-up-for-treloars

Why we need your help

Our fantastic transport team are truly going above and beyond to ensure our students who are at home have all the equipment, medicine and supplies they need. In April, they have already completed over 100 deliveries and travelled thousands of miles. The team are working around the clock from 5am to midnight, six days a week, to make these deliveries as well as transporting any staff that are supporting students in their homes.

On average, each of these trips cost around £70. Since the beginning of lockdown, that means almost £8,000 has been spent to ensure our students that remain at home have everything they need. These costs
are not covered by local authorities funding, and are increasing as more students and their families need our help. Thank you for your support!
